Default Gm 10 bolt front axle

I have a gm 10 bolt front axle, does not have manual hubs. I was curious if I could by a set and install them or do I need new hubs also?? And how do I determine the year of the axle? I got all the numbers cleaned up and wrote them down. Thanks Aaron

Hubs are the same as a 44. It would be from 1980 or newer. They put 10 bolts until 92 in the k5 blazer and suburban

If it's from the 70's its a 44. If its 30 spline inner axles and more of a stop sign diff cover its a 44. Round cover and 28 spline inner axles it's a 10 bolt. Manual lock outs will work on either.

corporate 10 bolts have been installed in gm's since the early to mid 70's members of my family own both a 74 k5 and a 77 1/2 ton silverado that were purchased new by them and they do indeed have 28 spline 10 bolts yeas you can install lockouts they come with all needed hardware to install
