Default Ring & Pinion Dana 44s

Went to Scout 2 Axles. Dana 44s around 1974.
Can I take the ring & pinion, out of my Wagoneer Dana 44 axles & put them in to my new scout danas?
Scout has 308 gears. Wagoneer has 410s & locker rear.
Both low pinion.
What I see, looks like it will work.
Tearing alxes apart now.
What do you think?

i would think all low pinions are the same. u will need the carriers with the correct gear sets. there is a case break 3.92 and up or 3.92 and down.

You will have to use the carriers from the 410s. The carrier split is at 3.73/3.92 for Dana 44. Other than that, it should work. Oh, and make sure they're both 30 spline. I know the Scout axles are.
