So I provided an example, where the Democrats "escalated its attacks on Tuesday on Republican opponents"
The escalation was in response to the escalation. It bears little resemblance to what I was talking about, except to illustrate how many people are jumping on the "if the did it it must be bad" bandwagon.

That may be your perspective, but my perspective is that it bears significant resemblance to your statement that the political parties are attacking each other to discredit them and gain supporters. In my opinion it would be more positive if the parties would just outline the benefits of their own strategy rather than slinging mud. But from your statement it appears that you think only sling mud.

Here is another one.

"Boehner Blasts Dems: Need 'Adult Leadership'"

If you think that only one party is playing this game, then you are a fool.

Nancy Pelosi

"Pelosi: The Fiscal Cliff Debate Is 'A Clear One; The People Have Spoken'"

Note: the same "people" that elected the democrat president, also elected our republican congress. Yet Pelosi suggests that 'the people's vote' supports the president and not congress.

First off, this is a bill written by a senator, it did not come from the Presidents administration.

Second, so you are so completely and totally convinced that everything the President or his administration is " 100 percent against freedom and the constitution" that you won't even bother to actually read the proposed bill and make your own judgments, you just believe as you're told to believe. No offence, but I think it's idiots that go along with that line of thinking that allows some of the horrible governments around the world to gain and maintain power. Once they can convince a majority of the people that the other side is always bad they no longer have to deal with facts, they can ignore them and dismiss anything they say as a cover for what they really think.

Of course all political parties attack each other to discredit them and gain supporters.
Of course all political parties sling mud.
Of course all political parties "play this game".
This stuff has been happening since the beginning of time, and will continue to happen til the end of time.

Never have I denied any of this.

The first link you posted http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/w...-politics.html was about Obama's counter attack over attack on the administration regarding Susan Rice and the Benghazi attack. Clearly if there's mud slinging there it was started by the .

On the second link you posted http://finance.yahoo.com/news/boehne...171100372.html you don't even have to read past the headline to see who is slinging mud :"Boehner Blasts Dems: Need 'Adult Leadership'"

Sure. it's be great if both parties would stay positive, present their plan, and work toward a workable compromise. But for the last 2 years, and currently, we have both sides digging in their heals, refusing to budge, and slinging mud towards the other.

But my comment that you quoted wasn't so much about the political parties that are slinging mud, but rather about the people that have chosen to completely believe what they are told by one side and don't even bother to think about anything any more, they just follow. I realize these people exist on all sides, but the ones that have admitted to this in this thread are all . I think these people are beyond foolish, they are dangerous.

Yep.

And working in Ann Arbor I see all the foolish, dangerous who have chosen to completely believe what they are told by one side. Depending on the forum one might be led to think it happens more frequently on one side or the other. Truth is, it happens equally on both sides. As long as the politicians keep us chasing our tails, they have jobs.
