I wonder if the other guy went to work, went on a forum, and is now asking if he was in the right or wrong

The inside lane must turn into the First Lane only.
So A has to turn into Lane 1
The same goes for a Right turn. ie: EB Featherstone onto SB Squirrel.
I'll try and find the Michigan traffic code for it.

Ok, so I'm the dickwad. No groundbreaking news there.

So Michigan left lane B can turn into 2, 3 or 4? A only gets 1? That's gay.

At the Michigan left, you have lane A and lane B.

Lane A can turn into lane 1 and 2. Lane B can turn into lane 3 and 4.
I was in lane A and turned into lane 2. Dickwad next to me was in lane B and tried to turn into lane 2 at the same time I was. Maybe I'm the dickwad, but this is always how I have understood Michigan lefts.

Yes, lane A turns into 1 & 2 while B turns into 3 & 4.

Lane a goes to 1 and b has to go to 2 and then change lanes once you establish lane position.

What really pisses me off is when you have a 1 lane mich left and your first in line, people think its 2 lanes and cut you off. It's only 1 lane and only 1 car is allowed at a time. Just cause its wide and can fit 2-3 cars doesn't mean you should do it. I saw and accident the other day because of this, car on the outside was there first and turning into the far left lane as she was supposed to, car on inside showed up late to the party and turned and hit the first car once that car pulled out. I assume the first car didnt see the second car.

If you use your gas pedal like a man, you can choose any lane you want.

RONG again (about the second part). You are rite about the first part of your statement. A=1, B=2.

Not saying you're wrong, but I've been looking for about 30-45 minutes now on what Michigan law states and I'm having zero luck.

Do you have a source?

There are very few busy single lane Michigan lefts, because the vast majority of them are pulling into at least 2 lanes of traffic. There's no reason not to use one wide enough for 2-3 cars for 2 cars, any less just holds up traffic because it's usually an ignorant dickbag who pulls in the middle and unpredictably chooses a lane. If it's a wide turnaround and you want the inside lane, go to the inside. If you want the outside lane go to the outside of the turnaround lane. Simple. It makes things flow more smoothly, less holdup, and you know who's going where. The ones who go to the center and then cut in or out are the ones who cause accidents because their driving is unpredictable, same with the idiots who go to the outside lane then cut in or vice versa. Pick a lane(not the middle one) and use it throughout the entire freaking turn, problem solved.

This makes no sense either. You have the option of three lanes to turn right from, onto a road with five lane choices. So which right turn lanes gets which lanes?
