I agree, lately just this sight is really lagging on several different devices. It takes 10x as long for a page to load and see real times posting takes nearly 5 minutes to go through.

Again this is not an operator error as it on several different os's and several different internet sources

They just want to make sure you have extra time to look at the ads while the pages load.

The only time the place lags for me is when it updates. Usually early am.

I have noticed that this site and pirate will randomly not load pages unless i refresh them over and over, then it will be fine for 20 minutes, then do it again. My status bar will say waiting for verticalscope.

I haven't noticed that message but I'll take a look. I thought it might be my wireless router or my laptop, both of which were getting old. We just upgraded to Comcast's latest and greatest stuff and I just got a new laptop that isn't cluttered with cookies or anything and I saw no change. Plus, it's only gl4x4. Other sites are lightning fast.

When the site starts loading, there will be a little bar of text in the lower left corner, it'll say waiting for "x"

I get that all the time also. @whiterhino, for me it's in the lower left hand corner, on my google chrome browser

Windows 8 using IE at the moment. When it happens, there is no message anywhere and I can't scroll down. It's basically a blank screen with the border.

If you are on IE go to your settings and put the site in compatibility mode. It may just be IE not being able to read the site code correctly.

If you can also get me the URL of the section and the time it happens and the time zone (just to be sure the time is accurate) then we can check the logs to see what may have been holding it up.

It happens all the time on any thread. It just happened trying to go to the main forum page. There is no message anywhere. I have no idea how to put a site in compatibility mode and I don't understand why it is only this site. How do I do this?

I get a 'waiting on gl4x4' message on the bottom left for a minute or so then it goes thru when it is slow.
