Default 2000 Jetta TDI (Diesel!) FS/FT *SOLD*

I have a 2000 Jetta TDI for sale or trade. I bought the car in August in Indiana with 187,xxx miles. 2 weeks after buying it, I had the car professionally detail. The very next day the engine ran away from me which resulted in a piston practically falling apart.

I took the car to a local shop that specializes in TDI's and had a lower mileage (134k miles) engine from a 2002 Beetle TDI automatic installed. Being that the engine was from an auto, it has the larger, highly sought after 11mm injection pump. This was a nice free upgrade that usually costs around $400 bucks alone, lol. At the same time as the engine swap I had a slew of new parts installed. Below is a list of all new parts.

This car is ready for anything you can throw at it. The clutch, head studs, motor mounts and injection pump make this car a perfect candidate for a high torque, high horsepower daily driver build. The clutch feels exactly the same as the stock clutch did, so you don't lose any daily driver comfort. I also deleted the EGR and vacuum reservoir while the engine swap was being done. I can provide receipts for the engine swap as well as all of the new parts.

-Southbend Stage II Endurance Clutch - $550
-IDParts Complete timing belt/water pump kit - $310
-ARP head studs - $145
-Black Forest Industries Stage 1 motor mounts(yellow) - $126
-cam seal - $8
-coolant neck and bolts - $10
-Thermostat - $19
-5mm vac hose - $14
-3mm vac hose - $15
-EGR block off plates - $20
-Exhaust gaskets - 10
-EGR delete hose - $20
-Rear main seal - $37
-5 speed transmission seals - $55
-2 hole head gasket - $30
-Dipstick tube - $8
-Driver side axle shaft(lifetime warranty) - $70
-Poly A-Arm bushings - $60
-Alignment - $75
-New Bosch MAF sensor- $120

After getting the car back on the road, I found a set of factory OEM GLI headlights and tail lights. The GLI headlights have factory installed fog lights, but the car was not wired for fog lights from the factory. I swapped the orange turn signal lenses inside the headlights for clear, and then I purchased a (Euro) headlight switch and a pre-made wiring harness from ECS tuning to take advantage of the fog lights. The fog lights function off the OEM headlight switch exactly as they would from the factory now. The headlights also have clear laminex installed on the lenses to prevent fogging. At the same time I was installing these headlights I painted the grill black with plastidip. It can easily be peeled off if the buyer would like.

I am asking $6900 obo. EDIT: New price is $5900 until the new car I want sells I am open to all kinds of trades. Just shoot me offers. I feel this is very fair considering the upgrades and maintenance done to the car since my ownership. this car is ready to go for years to come with no major maintainence needing done for at least 100k miles, at which point it will need a new timing belt again. It has all the base mods done if your wanting to upgrade the drivetrain for more power. If not you can keep it the way it is. I am currently averaging 48 mpg city the last two tanks and have gotten 56 mpg and 57 mpg highway on two 5 hour trips over the last two weeks. My cell is 4192960943. Please call or txt at any time if interested. Thanks!

On to the pictures!

Also, I do have the passenger side lower grill assembly. Just been too lazy to remove the factory tow hook and reinstall it. I also forgot to mention it has 20% window tint that was professionally installed. Looks great!

Why are you selling it? And not sure if i missed it but what's the current mileage on the car?

And problem areas? Dents? Rust?

Thanks.

Oil build up in the intercooler is our best guess. There was a lot of oil in the intercooler piping and the old intake manifold.

Im just looking for something different. Its has your typical wear for a 13 year old vehicle. No major dents or scratches to report. There is one crack in the rub strip on the front bumper, and a strange hole about the size of a penny in the rear bumper. This car is incredibly clean and the paint shines like new. Current mileage is almost exactly 189900 as of today. It will continue to rise as I daily drive it. Should hit 190k by the end of next week
