I realize it is harder to package and super expensive to buy new but I think it's still one of the best ever designs.
That's right, I saw him use it the same day he pulled me out of 3 foot deep snow.

How much were the aluminum links?

Can't really blame a loose battery lead on the winch That was the fault of the stupid guy that put it together.

My opinion is based on one winch......or you experience. They sure do have their following. And proved to be a good winch. Just not for me

Just as a point of interest, check out the winch on the DEAK racing rig.

Back in December I took the buggy to twisted. Roads were salted heavy. On the way home I stopped at the car wash a couple miles from home. But is was like 5 degrees out and water froze almost instantly on the buggy.

Well the salt did a number on my electrical. While everything still worked. After a thorough inspection that wouldn't of been the case for long.

So tearing it all apart to redo it.

Ordered new gauges and also ordered a new winch. Gonna mount the warn in the rear.

Went and got the trailer legal, 4 new rims and tires. So plenty of spares.

Been wiring the buggy, wires suck lol.
