Default My New 1975 F100 4x4

I bought this last weekend, found on here in the classifieds. I went into this wholly, eyes opened I just want to say.

Got it home yesterday,

Started the tear down, supposedly had a fresh 390, I didn't believe it for a minute, turns out I was right, it's a 360 lol. It did come with an Edelbrock Streetmaster 390 intake though, I'll probably punt that on Ebay.

Brakes... Need replaced lol. Will be looking for a 78-79 for everything from the knuckles out.

Intake and Holley 4160 carb

The "fresh 390, it sat outside with the hood off, so I anticipated this, but I hoped it really was a 390 and really was fresh. Anyone have one squirreled away? I hate going on goose chases, and nowadays every 360 is a 390

Some shots of the cab, and shingle floor,

Oh... And one of the best parts of the truck,

So that's where I'm at for now, hopefully I can get this off to the machine shop or find a 390 to rebuild. I need to buy a welder and get to work on the floors...

My plan is 5.5 Deaver coils, 37's, 4.56 gears, and a doubler.

Thanks for looking!

Absolutely, like I said, I expected it to be neither fresh nor a 390 and that's what I got. That's how these things go, I'm not pissy or worked up over it, I paid accordingly.

It's a crime to have a Chevelle sitting in a field like that. Nice find on the truck. Pretty clean. Shingles as floormats. Who knew?

The frame for the Chevelle is a little farther into the field lol.

I'm happy with it, I love these trucks, I know it wasn't far from the scrap yard.

What's better than shingle floor mats is the sawzall box floor plan hahahaha... If only they'd have used the sawzall itself instead of the box

So I've been collecting tools and taking care of other life business, but I've decided to go with a 460, after wasting about 75 dollars in gas going to look at other 390's that were all actually 360's

So anyway, I have my tool I need for that at least :D

I'll be selling all the 360 stuff, including the C6, Edelbrock Streetmaster, Holley 4160, etc etc. My niece is in the hospital currently, and thats taking up much of my free time this holiday weekend.

Yup. Why have orphan engines when you can go modern.
