Hey thanks much. Im actually getting ready to pull it inside and start swapping the front axle and get the crossover steering in place. Have to take the dam oil pan off or the motor out to put the crossover in lol. Dident really want to do it right away due to im selling the motor. Cant hear it run anymore when I do that =(((

Truck is in garage waiting for the front axle to be slapped in. Thinking about shaving the front housing before putting it in the truck. Im waiting on my dad to find the special carrier we modded to cut the ring gear down on the lathe. If he finds it im going to cut the ring gear down, cut the bottom of the housing off and plate it, and add a truss to the top to reinforce it more. If he dont find it, then in it goes.

This is what it will look similar to. Except the ring gear will be cut down just a FUZZ more.

I am still trying to figure out how you fit that motor so low between those tight azz frame rails. Have they been cut or something?

Haha, I was wondering if somebody would ever wonder about that. The factory rails are super close together. Its a 1974 1 ton 4x4 frame. The body mounts lined up real nice on the cab and front clip. No way would the factory frame take a beating with 750hp and still use it for pulling. My dad originally built the truck in 1987. We still have the original drivetrain also, its been sitting outside since 87 also lol

I like the setup I had with the 3.08's and the 12 valve with the 727 behind it. But I missed the way big blocks rev and their power bands. Thats why I decided I want a stroker with aluminum heads.

The 12 valve ve pump motor I had was a 1989 out of a school bus. I tuned the pump to almost max fuel possible and also had the timing advanced a little. It had a different turbo and exhaust manifold on it than the 1st gen dodge truck use. A smaller exhaust housing to. It had awsome throttle response, almost like a stock small block. It ran great, dident leak a drop of anything, and was good on fuel even with a non-lockup converter. Even had good power still 38's on it.

Im going to re-do the floor in the cab of the truck. The cummins wont fit unless I modify the firewall. And I really dont want to hack up the cab, kinda keep it original. I dont want to make something thats all hacked up. More or less just a factory kinda replica, but with a better attitude with the drivetrain. This will still be made to wheel and flex it a good one. Not going to be a trailer queen or show truck.
