Okay, all redneck racial slurs notwithstanding,

The power of the incumbent is HARD to overcome. Reagan did it with Carter (because Reagan was that awesome and Carter sucked THAT bad) and Clinton did it with Bush I because Perot split the non- vote.

The electoral college county map is really telling.

A few urban areas elect the leader for the remainder of the country. Not representative government - time for the electoral college to go.

Add the media's dedication to defeating the and it was the most likely outcome.

Upward and onward. I smell impeachment over the Libyabullshit.

Myself and a few others i talked too thought that romeny came off to cocky and arrogant. There was no real emotion from him and he seemed out of touch with the average citizen. Although i did not vote for Obama i would say he presents himself as a genuine person and people tend to like it. If the would put some one up that seemed a little more down to earth and in touch with the people i think it would have been a different story.

I would also agree with that statement. Never like the way Romeny comes off as a person. Maybe not arrogant but definitely not in touch with the common "man"

AMEN!

But that will never happen.

I'm sure that had a place when it was a 3 day journey by horse and buggy just to get to your polling location. But in today's society that is just a stupid, old, antiquated system.

It wouldn't matter. If we had popular vote instead of electoral we would have had Al Gore as president in 2000, and we would still have Obama as president in 2012, despite the "red map". All that tells you is that live in rural settings and live in highly populated cities/counties.

You should only be able to vote if you are a active student, employeed, retired, or stay at home parents. If you have been unemployeed more then 6 months not to due a disability or handicap your vote doesnt count. lol

Yeah, that's a great plan. With ~10% unemployment in many areas...

Only people who should have the right to vote are those who earned it by serving in the military.

Anybody know where that came from?

Politico is reporting that in Ohio, blacks accounted for 15% of the over all vote but only account for 12% of the population. You can now blaim all the nonblacks that did not vote.
