Default Scratching the Itch

Well I bought this jeep back in February from Bullhed78 here. And its been an awesome jeep. He had a great setup started. But I had no front bumper or winch. So I found a metalcloak bumper with stinger NIB on Craigslist for a good price so it went on.

Then I addressed tbe rusted front fender. I bought a set of used TNT tube fenders from bigbchevy. I had those powder coated and they were I stalled. I also bought a snorkel for it but have decided not to use it. Then I installed a winchup front.

Then firehawk had a nice rear bumper so I picked that up and installed it.

The next step is axles upgrade . Going with 4:56 gears front and rear with Detroit trutracs.
Thought about selling it to get a new corvette, but im gonna stay put for a while.

Let's see some pics! I always liked that Jeep, and I have a soft spot for stroker motors

The pic on the snow bank was my son's first 4x4 experience. He was 13 months at the time. The second pjc is how it looks now. I pulled the jeep into the barn to start the axle swap. Got it on the hoist, wheels off and steering unbolted.

I got the old axles out. Going to the parts store today for some parts for the install of the new axles. While I was removing the axles I found a issue, the upper left rear control arm was mount was rusted off. And the frame has a nice hole in it. I will get pics up later today.
