Just thought I would throw that in there.
Maybe this group will keep it in the cattails. I heard you need no permits for that, per .

All the tank trails are off seasonal roads, but there are 3 different ranges spread out across crawford country. Snowmobile trails are off limits and everyone would need an orv sticker obviously. The range your talking about is the air to ground range in waters which the northern part of range 40.

Technically you only need an orv sticker for a few places in Michigan. Mounds, silver lake, st. Helen, bull gap, and I think Drummond island.

Crawford county opened up all trails for orv vehicles, except snowmobile trails, so as far as i was told, you need to have one.

thats cause 98% of them are county seasonal roads and marked accordingly. Snowmobile trails are ORV prohibited all year even tho you see people riding down them all the time.

Unless its a state licensed vehicle. Ie: you street legal wheeler. Look it up if you don't believe me. Or look up any of the other twenty threads on the subject here. Of course it doesn't hurt to have one and it does help fund other off road projects and programs.

Your street licensed vehicle is NOT an orv and does not require an ORV sticker except on ORV routes and the places Tab mentioned.

umm, no.

Not to be a dick, but you should stop posting things that will confuse others. You can't drive "all over grayling cause it's fed property" and you certainly don't need an ORV permit for a street licensed rig anywhere there.

Ive always put a plate and a ovr sticker on my streetable rigs and 10 years later up here tooling around and no problems. if its not a snowmobile trail, a power line, or private property it is usally always marked seasonal road. And im happy to support my sport by buying a ORV sticker anyways, if i need it its there, if not then whatever. Been going out to Range 40 for years now.

http://grayling-mi.com/trails/orv

I'm military and work for them in grayling, i have a decent understanding as far as what i can and cannot do and i know the training schedules as far as range activity. It does not state that you need an orv sticker on state-owned property and nothing about the snowmobile trails, besides the obvious "no orv" signs posted at every crossing. I'll be out wheeling that weekend regardless, my rigs not street legal so i run an orv sticker to be on the safe side.

Nobody fear. Tcxtreme is here. I will take care of the details and let you know what they tell me. Meanwhile pm if your in and we will start making plans and get a list together.

Also give me the basics on your rig. I would like to see atleast 33s with good tread and a cb is not a must. You just have to be in the middle of the pack. You guys know the story.

This site is full of dickbeaters just like you, ill give you a good ole "mighty military man" ass whooping. Im not always right, no one is. i was just stating what ive heard and read. Rules and regulations aside, i know the area and wheeling spots that majority of you have never been to or could find that i wheel regularly. Im done with this dick measuring contest about the laws. Grayling is a great place to wheel as long as you have an idea of the area and dont end up somewhere were you shouldnt be. im out

I may be in on this.

How many miles of trails does Grayling have to offer? I'd be coming from almost 4 hours away, so I would hate to run the same trails over multiple times

They have tons of trails. We can go a differ direction every run and not run the same trail. Hope to see you in. Were going to make it worth everyone's time.
