Default Christian vote to cause Landslide victory for Romney??

This article below got me thinking about the turnout for Chic-Fil-A a few months past. I really think that the Christian masses will turn out and vote to the point that it won't be close. I hope that is the case.

The article below is the a bishop requring the priest under him to basically read a letter from the Bishop explaining the churches stance on this years election.

Obama is a Christian, Romney is a Mormon.

Explain how this helps Romney...

I have not seen Obama's actions resemble being a Christian. Romney may be a mormon but his actions do resemble what a Christian would be.
Just saying.

Mormons may not be considered 'mainstream' Christianity but a majority of them to believe in the life, death, and Resurrection of Christ. I would also say that majority probably 'walks the walk' better then 90% of 'Christians' who are not Mormon. I attribute this mostly to the system a young adult has to go through in that Church. It emphasizes service to the world and the church before starting a career or college.

I think if every person was forced to serve in a mission field, domestic or not, for 2 years after high school we'd have alot less 'free loaders' and our youth would be more respectful, mature, and wise. BTW, if you are a Mormon you're forced to do this by the church to be a member. You also have to fund your whole entire mission by your self.

Weather he has it not, this idea speaks to alot of Christians as having a better moral center and understanding then someone who grew up in a non-Mormon church that didn't even have to go through a member ship class to become a member. Furthermore, it also says alot that he is very specific and vocal about his faith while Pres Obama is not so much vocal and often sends very mixed messages about what his faith actually is.

I might go as far as to say that I see pres. Obama putting his PC-ness infront of his faith in alot of things that he does; at least in the public view. That he is more worried about looking bad then being firm in his beliefs. That is a huge issue for alot of Christians.

Yes, but we have never had a President who was for the gays, oh as I call them the 3% abnormal Americans.

Back to the overwhelming support for Christian beliefs that was demonstrated in support of Chic-Fil-A

I don't think that most Christians are as vehemently against gay people as you are. I could be wrong, however.

I'm pretty sure the mormons are, though, what with the money they spent on Prop 8 in California, 4 years ago.

I guess when it happens and your savior is not longer president then I'm going to say that "we" "Christians" probably had a lot to do with it. It'll be intersting to see. I have already voted so at least Ohio has 1 person for Romney!!

You have a misunderstanding of old testament law. Eating of shrimp and other foods that were considered "unclean" was part of Jewish ceremonial law and violation was not necessarily punishable by death. Ceremonial laws defined the Jews as a religion. Law that prohibited homosexuality, bestiality and sexual deeds considered perverse were jewish moral laws and were often punishable by death. Moral laws defined the jews code of ethics or behavior. The jews also followed civil law as out-lined in the Pentateuch (first 5 books of the old testament). Our civil laws resemble many of these laws. Christianity dropped most of, if not all of the ceremonial laws but holds on to many of the moral laws of Judaism. This change came about with Jesus Christ and His revolt against the overbearing jewish religion. Most christians view this revolt by Christ and His followers as an evolution of sorts in the relationship between God and man kind.
