Having a two year old paid off. Daddy tax is at near 95% for a two year old. I still have uncle tax for my sisters 3 kids as well. My nieces and nephews did so well they pushed themselves into the higher tax bracket. So between my daughter and nieces and nephew I did quite well, thanks for asking!

I had the Jeep on jack stands, hood popped, and burgers on the grill. Porch light was off. Was it wrong to turn away the kids without costumes? Or should I have told them to grab a wrench and help me

Also, not this year, but I remember one year a lady gave out SOY chocolate bars... what should I have done in such a situation?

Punch that bitch in the face and shove the soy bar up her ass.

Lucky, our sub has exactly 3 other kids. We have no trick or treating scene, so we have to be those assholes that drive to your neighborhood so our kids can play trick or treat

agree.

We went into town and parked at redmud's house, the streets were a bit empty, seemed about every 5th house had a porch light on. Didn't seem as fun as it had in previous years. I can't complain though since we were "poaching".

I'm kind of shocked you weren't handing out flax seeds, whole grains, carrots, or tofu.

Had a lighter than normal turnout.

We live in one of the few subs with sidewalks, so we get heavy traffic from locals and mainlanders who think they'll get better loot out here.

Little kids get a handfull (5-7) of name-brand stuff - unless they're wearing UM clothing where they receive one - unless they tell parent "go green" (under 10-11) or "Michigan sucks" older in which they get a load. I've done this so long, there are kids (and parents) who come prepared now.

Older kids get an amount proportional to level of effort placed into costume or delivery. for instance 13-14 year-old kid dressed in street clothes who quickly responded that we was wearing his buddy's clothes and going as him got buffed up (delivery). High school-aged gtoup of 6 kids where the guys were dressed as Playboy Bunnies (in last night's weather) and girls were gold-chained lounge lizards (think Spro) were likewise buffed up.

Young black kid about 7 or 8 came dressed os Obie. Because he was young, I didn't hassle him (wife got up and started running toward me when she saw the scenario start to unfold - she apparent thought I'd do something smartassed ) except to tell him that "no, I didn't make that candy myself". Junior high-aged kid came as "Vampire Obama" saying that he "wanted to suck my wallet". He got 10-15 pieces and a warning that he should eat more kale.

Kids don't want or need that. They have young metabolisms and can burn it off unlike my old ass. I gave them as much as I could so I didn't get stuck with it too.
