chiro helped me with a pinched nerve in my upper back between my shoulders. i couldn't move my neck for months and always had a shooting pain/numbness in my shoulder and arm. i always thought they were full of it and it didn't work, after the first visit i could move my neck and the pain was alot less. been almost 8 months now and i feel alot better and i get to use the gym for free. i'm not much for popping pills, they just don't work for me.

between a pinched nerve, bulged disk in my neck, migrane's and blowing my back out, i'm 100% pro chiro now. i go 3 times a week like clock work.

One thing we were told by both the surgeon and the chiropractor who saw Mike was that they should see the MRI before deciding treatment. Depending on the issue and the severity if it is a bulged disc the adjustments can make it worse. Mike wouldn't do chiropractic again, it couldnt and didnt help him, but it is also bad for his specific condition.
I mostly agree with you. Each back is obviously unique. What works for one person may not work for another. MRI's are handy but don't tell all. Back pain is debilitating and unfortunately most people don't understand it unless they have lived with it. If we all had a crystal ball our decisions would be much easier. Even with the best Doctors the decision on which treatment will work is still hard and results vary. Everyone needs to remember that they are their best advocate.

Hmmm, seems almost everyone has back issues. I screwed mine up about 7 years ago baling hay for a friend. The back pain was not that bad but whenever I would start to walk my right leg would stiffen up so bad I would have stop and rest for a minute. Then I would be ok after resting. Physical therapy and exercise really helped. I still feel it once in awhile but it does not slow me down like it did.

been about 2 weeks since the problem started. i have it mostly under control through exercise. im down to 185lbs so i dont think weight is much of an issue.
more exercise will really help though. im still looking for the right back brace.
i think that could help keep me inline, if i get it mostly straightened out.
i was able to stand up and do light work all weekend. my snowmobile trailer is looking really good. got alot done this weekend.
thx for all the advice.
