Default 33' waves on Lake Michigan - 25' waves on Lake Huron

We need pictures!!

I've seen 15'+ waves on lake superior, but 30' sounds pretty incredible...

I have seen the wave break and the spray go over the lighthouse in muskegon more that one time. Im sure the light house is over 60ft tall. I know that the wave was not 60ft tall, but lake Michigan can make some powerful waves.

Did the guitar twang of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald just go threw anyone else's head?

I've rode in 10' waves on stand ups. I was mentally and physically destroyed in under ten minutes.

If this actually happens I'm going up to my in-laws house on Lake Huron to check it out.

get caught, or go out looking for trouble?

20 years ago, a good friend got caught out, and tried to make the crossing from Northport to Bowers Harbor bay up in Traverse City on a 750 stand up.

he rode over in the a.m. on "glass" on the way home after lunch, he ran into some chop. after getting beat up in 3'-4' swells for 10 minutes he gave up (while in deep water) and they ended up towing it back.

This storm is crazy. I am heading out to DE in a few days and from our call this morning they are already taking a pounding. It sounds like it is only going to get worse and effect a large area. I am worried about driving through the mountains with all the snow they are predicting too.
