Default 7.3 zf6 clutch options

My throwout bearing started squealing so I pulled the trans (one big heavy sonofabitch). The pressure plate had a good amount of scoring from the TOB and the clutch disk has maybe 1mm left before the buttons in the friction material. The stocker had already been replaced with a 13" kit and the flywheel is still in good shape.

I don't see myself putting in big injectors or turbo, but he truck does have a chip, intake, and exhaust so. I was looking into a southbend, but they are up there in price and I cant find one without a flywheel. What are some other options?

How long did it take you to get the trans out?

I use clutch Dynamics in Lansing. Dan will work with you in getting you the right clutch for truck, semi or tractor, for what you use it for. I have had a couple different clutches made from scratch for custom builds and they do it affordably. They also resurface flywheels.

About 4 hours. I used an atv jack with straps holding the trans from rolling off and floor jack to support the transfer case. The dowels were pretty rusty and the rough concrete made it almost impossible to get the trans separated from the motor taking most of the time. I wanted to get home as soon as I heard the squealing so I didn't get a chance to powerwash the underside so I was going inside to wash out mud chunks from my eyes every 3 minutes as well. There is a non running truck and a trailer in front of my garage as well so I was working in the dark which didn't help matters.

If I had a lift and well lit shop with tools near by it shouldn't take more than an hour or so. If you are planning on doing this in a driveway give yourself a weekend to be safe and have a buddy to help.

*i have pulled multiple transmissions and transfer cases in my driveway it is not ideal nor would I advise tackling this job if you haven't done it before.
