Hey don't want to hijack or bust balls, not at all what I'm doing. Just curious what you are looking to do with this? I love Rugers, have half dozen of them. HOWEVER the mini 14 is the one exception to my satisfaction with Ruger products. I wasn't able to hold a group for shit with it. Maybe I suck, or maybe got a lemon, just wanted to give you that heads up before you picked one up assuming it was a tack driver. Good luck with your search, I'll check with a buddy from work. Not sure if it sold or not but know he was looking to sell his for same reason.

I have one as well, It is not an acurate weapon, in consideration to a bolt action rifle. It is more of an obnoxiously loud spray and pray, I would argue that it has a faster rate of off hand fire than eather of my AR base rifles, mine is a short carbine, and it is stunningly load with a fantastic fire muzzle flash. It is fun to fire but it is not accurateas a tac driver no way.

Ruger revamped the tooling for the Mini 14 a few years ago. They now offer a varmint version with a heavy barrel that will hold a decent group, not bolt action varmint accuracy but much better than the 4-5" groups the older models shot. I haven't had enough time to dial mine in and I think it needs a better scope. I think I paid about $800 for the new varmint model a couple years ago.

I like my Mini-14 Ranch for plinking fun. One great advantage over my AR is that it gladly uses all forms of .223/5.56 with no issues - even steel-cased eastern european junk.

NOT a tack-driver.

the one i had jammed probably 1 out of 10 shots, probably just the gun but i was not happy with it
