1951 Ford F1 ratrod SOLD!
Have enjoyed this for a few years now and decided it's time to sell and put the money towards a different project. I bought this as-is, did not build it myself. Will describe it to the best of my knowledge/memory.
It is titled, plated, and insured as a 51' Ford f1. It's clearly something you have to see to truley appreciate as pictures don't do it full justice. The guy that put it together lives in Muskegon and has built a few other cool rides, knows his shit.
-51' Ford F1 chopped cab and vin plate.
-Entire frame is custom
-Rear subframe and axle (8.8 lsd) from a 90' Crown vic. 4 linked
-Rear is on air bags controlled by valves in the cab.
-1976 stock 500cid Cadillac engine and turbo350 3spd trans
-Front disc brakes
-Manual steering gearbox from a Geo Tracker
This was built as a driver, the guy wanted his wife to be able to drive it. Head lights, tail lights, and blinkers work as they should. Has an electric fan, temp gauge, and oil pressure gauge. No others. It's highway capable, get's okay mpg if you care, and is a real head turner. Of coarse it has it's vibrations and rattles, just all the more character. Have been in a few car shows and parades and it's a riot.
Yuh, it duz burnouts n cookies
I'm sure there's much I'm missing, but if you're interested I suggest you come look at it in person other than read about it. I've had my fun with it, time to move on, not store it for another winter, and work on my Divco.
Price lowered considerably to $5,000 FIRM..
And yeah, it's a little noisy...

I've put thousands of miles on it this way as did the previous owner, coming in close contact with law enforcement. No tickets. At certain rpm's it's no more loud than an average harley.
But yes, thank you for pointing out that the exhaust may be considered "illegal". It's a novelty that is best suit for car shows and parades.
