Fwiw I sent an email to rcv about their lifetime warranty for buying shafts used. They said the warranty does not transfer. Now I'm not sure how they would know you weren't the original owner. I doubt they would, but just something to keep in mind. :)

I didn't either until sometime mentioned it when I saw a used jk set for sale. Probably have no issues with warranty but to save a couple hundred bucks i didn't feel like risking it.

Yeah I too noticed that people really dont offer that great a deal vs new. And the warranty thing would sure suck!

This would be the last step to a bullet proof axle for 35's realistically the largest tire size my rig will ever see. A 60 would of been a wise choice when i built it but hindsight is 20/20

That's what rcv's are. Front shafts and stubs with cv joints. A normal axle shouldn't bind a u joint unless you have a fancy custom one with 50 degree steering.

No. Why would they? Do you mean the clunking and jerking that can happen if you have it in four wheel drive on hard surfaces? If so that's not the steering joints.
