Seems way high, I just did a quick est. and it looks like less than 900 here, with a master and slave, would be less with just the slave.

I am thinking they must be using all OE parts?? Looks like the oe slave and master are sold as one piece with a dealer list of about 3 bills.

same repair, haven't got Jeep back from first quote and keeps adding up,
1st quote about $500 for slave cylinder
2nd quote about $1000 for slave cylinder and some thing stuck
3Rd quote about $1500+ slave cylinder, clutch and flywheel machining
every quote they kept adding more
incompentent mechanics can't thoroughly diagnose repairs or are they on commision

What's the cost to pay their diagnose, tow it home and fix it on your own?

I bet for $1000 I can get someone to tow it and replace all those parts for you LOL. Hell, I bet if you just paid them their inspection fee and just pushed it out on the lot, a few hours over night and you could drive that thing off the lot LOL.

That really sucks man. I've been screwed back when I first got into jeeps and paying dealer/service center to do work that probably didn't need to get done. That got old quick and you learn to do the work yourself.
