Default 87 chevy 1 ton daily driver

I thought I would share some pics and specs of my daily driver. Started life as 1987 Scottsdale 3/4 ton 4x4, tbi 350, 400, 208. I soon added 4 " lift, tbi 454 and full floating 14 bolt rear with disc brakes. Then the flat bed seemed logical for hauling wood

Put new floor pans, rockers, doors, cab corners and fresh paint

Big block dropped a cylinder fall last year. A 2003 6.0 took its place

Found a 83 1 ton for a donor. Used my cab and 400, 208. I stripped the 83 down to the frame axles sand blasted and painted. The full floating 14 bolt got my previous disc brakes and a new detroit locker went in the original 4.56 gears. The front Dana 60 got ORD cross over steering and king pin rebuild kit. A detroit true trac was also added.

The hydraulic cylinder and lift assembly shows slightly in above pic I'll get some pics of that to post later it's originally from a old county truck. The bed it was under weighed 2000 lbs it's self unsure of its lifting capacity it's dumped everything I've put on it.

What kind of milage do you get with it? I know the 6.0 in my 2000 gets about 6 unless I'm doing 60 down the highway lol

It's hard to get a actual number the speedo is still way off from the gear change but with the 454 ,4.10 gears and 32 "tires I would drive 1 week on 16 gallons. If I cut wood on the weekends I wouldn't get that far. Now I go 2-3 weeks on 16 gallons and hadn't noticed the difference if it goes to the woods or not

Cool build, I like it. Loving that 6.0 swap. Keep up the good work.
