242 t case

I just got a t case from a grand cherokee and would like to put it into my 99 cherokee, off the bat i notice my xj has a rubber boot on the rear drive shaft end and the zj one has the aluminum tail housing with a seal .... what to do?

ones a nv and the other is a np, do i need a different drive shaft? Are the rear out put shafts the same length?

i am prety sure it doesnt matter if the slip yolk on your drive shaft fits on the shaft of your tc and the boot claps on the yolk as well it should be fine, if not you will just need the end yolk peice off of a later model jeep with that style output
