Default Michigan law?

What is the Michigan law for how much tire can be showing past your fenders? I'm pretty sure I'm way past it

If it is past the flare you will be cited. No measurement just a visual observation of the tire sticking past the flare. Either get negative offset rims or rivet on some rubber flares. Getting a ticket for this violation is not worth it. I have several friends who had to pay several hundred dollars in tickets. Not fix it tickets either!
So take my advice and rivet on rubber flares to avoid tickets! Nice GC btw

I've driven worse, down here it's not an issue. I guess some places are dicks about it though.

I'm pretty certain that law only governs commercial vehicles.

Umm.............I'm pretty sure there is no "State" law on this. I think we (GL4x4) had a big discussion on this in 2006 or 2007 and the conclusion was; that there was no law regarding passeger vehicle tire protrusion.

I know I see a lot of open wheel Classics, cruisin' around in West Michigan.

Of Course I'm an so my memory is not so good, and I don't feel like searching past threads for the answer.

Just run a dune flag and you should be good. If you're in a pinch truck nutz would do as well.

I don't think it gets much worse than this:

I have driven past many officers and have even had a few follow behind me for a ways. I have never been pulled over. Like others have said there is no law on tire coverage in Michigan.
