Listing for a friend - Great Lakes 4x4. The largest offroad forum in the Midwest

A while back I remember a thread about complaining of those who join GL 4x4 and immediately list things for sale.

I have noticed one of the regulars listing items for others who dont belong to GL 4x4. Is that frowned upon? Seems like if you list something under your name you answer the questions, post extra photos, ect. But what I see is the GL 4x4 member listing things and saying contact the real owner directly. If you cant take the time to get answers from the owner and post them online then dont post it. Just saying I think this is much worse than actually joining and listing something for sale right away.

Thats all I got to say about that.

Sometimes people dont know how to use a computer, or have email, internet, so i really dont see a problem with it.

I've pm'd people who do not include phone numbers for the actual seller to remove the listing, or to tell their friends to sign up.

Every person does not have the ability to use computers or jump on the internet. So I see it as a benefit.

I would rather see a Guy who posts regular listing for a friend than a Guy with 1 post and its a for sale thread. That's what CL is for.

I dont see a problem either way If some outsider wants to list a cool set of shocks or lift kit that came on a jeep he just bought more power to us. Am I wrong?

The more stuff that gets listed here, the better.

Providing there is contact info.

I agree with steveo as well (wtf omg) I'd rather see an established member with feedback list for a friend than a 0 feedback noob registering just to post one or two items.

If the person that is listing for a friend is a chick, hawt, and has known naked pictures floating around on the internet, I have no issues.

and as far as them "not belonging" on a 4x4 site.......I believe that is what the "misc" for sale section is for. Further I am a paying member...I see you aren't
