Default 92 Jeep Cherokee Laredo *SOLD*

$500 Firm, will need to be towed
Located in Westland, MI
92 Cherokee Laredo 241,xxx miles

New years eve day this is the issue I was having (not my video but found it on youtube) the next day it would only start and stall in a few seconds.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X77AumVYXCw

I installed a new fuel pump relay and it is starting again, but still running rough.

Possibly TPS or CPS or fuel pump/fuel filter problems is what I think

I have a kid on the way and was in the market for a newer vehicle anyways and when jeep died we picked up another vehicle. I don't feel like putting any money into this.

I have owned since 2010 and was my second vehicle up until summer 2012 when it became my DD. I have only put around 15k on it since owning it. I moved to Westland from Saginaw and have made the 1.5hr trip several times in the jeep.

In 2010 I put a used 4.0 (1995? miles unknown)from member- Special K. All fluids except Transmission were changed, rear brakes replaced, steering stabalizer, oil pressure sensor. 2012 I had new tailpipe installed. Has older CD player installed. 4x4 works great. Decent tire tread. New battery last august.

There is a lot of rust on this including the front suspension and floorboards and at some point they were covered but its due again. One of the wiring harnesses on taillights needs to be replaced. Driver side i believe, as there are no brake lights or signals on that side but running lights work. Has hitch and trailer wiring but hitch will not come out and is slightly bent from trying to yank it out. Driver seat leans back on an angle, I have rear seats folded up to help support it upright. There must have been an ignition short because the key doesn't always work but there is a push button start under dash that will always work. Also the windows will leak a little when in car wash or during heavy rain and the floor will be wet. The driver window will only go down about 2/3 of the way. Cracked windshield.

When it was running the newer motor ran great, transmission shifted great and 4x4(np242 t-case) and brakes all worked good. It does ride rough and interior has alot of road noise though.
would make good beater/first car with a little work or donor vehicle.

It will start, but it dies within seconds. Also when key is on Acc I can hear the fuel pump running.

It is probably priming when you first turn the key then the relay isnt keeping the pump running after it starts. Pull the relay and jump it so pump runs all the time then try to start.

Yes it started with jumper wire installed. I picked up a new relay and will stay running. But it still seems to want to run a little rough. Could be from sitting in this weather for a month without being ran. I will run it for a few tomorrow and get a video

Thanks RonPrice for the advice. Jeep is starting every time now, but idling rough and hesitant to rev up sometimes. Would be able to drive onto trailer, but not to drive it home.

Having a hard time getting a video uploaded.
