I am mostly just tucking it away for 2 reasons. 1. I want a house in the sticks with no neighbors so bad it hurts. 2. I am saving up for a 20k plus hunting trip in a couple years.

I wish I made enough to save for both of those of those, but I don't. Maybe if I didn't stash a good portion of my paycheck into my 401 I could but I'd rather retire a millionaire at 55 and live a little harder life now than spend like a dip shit now and work until 70.

Hell i have a 1991 GMC with 12" lift i don't pay a payment on it and still cant pay for to $520 price tag on a new set of 39.5 Irok's. and the reason my tires are bald on the back is because they were on the front first.

Truth. If I didn't have rent to pay or student loan payments I'd be putting a little more into my 401 and a lot more into my arsenal

Could not agree more..
My wife is a full time student and still works 40hrs a week at a law firm, and is home in time to make dinner, cook and clean...
It's hard to find people like her that don't look for an excuse to be lazy...

When you go back to school, pay attention when the teacher talks about run-on sentences.

The tires on my DD have pretty low tread, not exactly bald but if I am just driving back & forth to work I'd rather wear them out than the good set I'll be throwing on in a month or so. When I throw them out I'll know I got my money's worth out of them.

Why the hell would you want to dd something like that in the first place? It can't be pleasant or efficient in any way....

I just spent 1700 on new wheels and tires for my dd....it sucked but it needed to be done....my old set are far from bald but they are bad enough that you start to notice it in the rain, so i can only imagine what would happen in snow. Definitely not worth taking the risk.
