Default Mid Facing, Rear Engine Race Buggy

Inviscid Motorsports Rear Facing, Mid-Engine Ultra 4 buggy.

We are looking to take our motorsports racing in a different direction, so we feel it is time to sell our U4 vehicle. This is not a fire sale. If it doesn’t sell, we will continue racing it.

Chassis - MotorCity Machines, mid facing rear engine
Engine - Ford 5.8L 351W EFI MAF conversion, aftermarket wiring harness, A9P computer. PSC P-pump. Double fuel system (pumps and filters)
Transmission - Ford C6 Automatic, e4OD first gear ratio (2.7:1), Hughes TC, Broader performance full manual VB, Art Carr shifter. Huge Griffin trans cooler
Transfer Case - Atlas II 3.0:1 ratio
Axles - Housings built by Motorcity Machines, 5.38 gears set by Ironman Offroad
Front – D60 Rear axle differential, flipped upside down with Ford Superduty C’s, knuckles and unit bearings. Branik Motorsports 35 spline axle shafts and drive flanges, with CTM U-joints and a spool.
Rear – D60 Superduty front differential flipped upside down, full float 35 spline hubs with Branik Motorsports custom axleshafts, with spool.
Tires – 40” Maxxis Trep stickies (6 total)
Rims - Raceline Monster beadlocks
Driveshafts - Custom built by Joint Clutch and Gear (Bay City and Romulus, MI) using all 1410 joints
Suspension - 16” reservoir coilovers from PAC Racing Springs, 4" bumps from FOA, Coil springs from PAC Racing.

The pictures really tell the story, so here goes.

some of these pictures are from through-out the build process and 2012 races, so there is racing rash on the buggy now as compared to new.

Here is the tube after the KOH roll/spin. I have not replaced the tube.

Here is a video of the first lap of a TREC race

The full build thread is here, with piles and piles of pictures. Some of the parts have changed, but this gives you a good idea of the build.

I am asking $29,500. I would also be interested in a partial trade ($10,000 max value) for a crew cab ford pickup/sport trac.

I also have a 1998 Freightliner FL70 that is a legal motorhome that could be included in the sale. It has a CAT 3126 and a spicer 7 speed, air ride, air brakes, tons of storage in the box, I built a bathroom in the box that has hot water (if you have 110V hookup). 75 gal of fresh water, 36 gal of gray holding, 36 gal of black holding.

So what's the new direction you speak of?

Killer price for a U4 buggy. GLWS.

To run the engine in that configuration, are you running a left hand rotation camshaft or did you flip the axles?

will include a large pile of short course tires...

Here is the first lap of the Oct TREC race (1st place finish). The car that passed us (then we passed climbing a sand hill) has approx 3 times the HP that we do. Don't let the SBF fool you ;)
