I would be launching out of pentwater. The trophy has a GPS controlled auto pilot, a big fridge and a shitter. My biggest fear is a big storm. I would rather be on the ocean than lake mi when it gets bad.

It wasn't sitting on a trailer and I don't know the condition of the sails. The boat itself looked descent at a glance from 55mph.

Sailing isn't hard, its just a little frustrating at first.

I got a 14' oday javelin that I haven't used in years. I'll take that piece of shit across lake mi. Gl4x4 drunken sailing adventure?

Haven't used it in almost 10 years. I actually put a trolling motor and rod holders on it because I didn't have a fishing boat. My dad restores sail boats and I go with him once in a while.

I have always wanted a sailboat but was told I change my underwear too often and shower too much.

Don't worry Steveo, there are lots of super rich who have sailboats too. Not just eco-hippies, like me. Hell, I'm sure Mitt Romney has a collection of them.

take one of these with you, and get the waterproof bag, they don't float

My friend in TC will teach me. I would probably haul it up to the bay.

I learned to sail on a sunfish. It was fun when I was 12. I raced lasers for a short time as well. That was a lot more fun.

The end game in life is a 45' catalina once I dont need a house or a job any more.

As far as what shoes to go with, I would choose none.

Get a small boat and I can go out with you and give you a lesson. It isn't hard ay all. I learned all on my own with just a couple pointers from my dad. The main things are pointing into the wind to put the sails up and down, keeping momentum when tacking into the wind and righting a boat you tip over.

When I go out on Cass lake I see a ton of people sailing in circles. Is that really fun?
