They two don't compare we all know this. The way Ford handled the issue is what pissed me off. I bought the truck and within 5000 miles the turbo went bad. Then I get it back nearly 2 months later and writhing 1500 miles injector pump went bad. They had for only a week this time then I get it back and the trans starts slipping. Needless to say I was stuck on the side of the road 2 weeks later with the trans toasted. So now they have it for another 2 months. I get it back and 3 months later the head gasket blows. So at this point I'm really pissed. And the whole time they gave me a rental but is was always a mid size or compact car. I bought a truck for a reason. So after that I contacted a lemon law lawyer. It went back and I got paid off. But they were very unpleasant to deal with and since then I said screw a ford I won't buy another one again. My wife still does from time to time buy a ford only because her dad works for them.

And the super duty never was worked the heaviest thing I ever hauled with it was a two place covered snowmobile trailer.

Was it a 2003 truck with a 2003 engine or 2004 engine? Sounds like most of the issues were with the INTERNATIONAL engine.

A lot of the early issues with the 6.0 were lack of tech training. They just threw parts at it and hoped it fixed it. The early EGR systems gave trouble. By the way there is no injector pump on a 6.0.

I have a 2004 with a 2004 6.0. at about 1200 miles it sat at the dealer for a month. When I got it back I fixed the EGR issues myself. The truck is still running fine......

It was a 2003 with a 6.0 not sure what year the engine was. The dealer ( Hines park in Milford ) said that it was the injector pump that went out. I just double checked my paperwork on it and that's what it said. Yes a lot of the issues were related to corn binder engine. The trans was not. The service was not related to international, that was all ford. They acted like it was my fault the truck had the issues. As I said it was not a work truck it was a dd and used as a source of transportation. Every time I took it in for service they gave me the run around saying they have to check and see if it's under warranty. ( when I finally got rid of the truck it had 27,000 miles on it). I also bought the extended warranty for it. Then they tried not to cover the rental car. And on top of it wouldn't cover a truck. That's what really pissed me off I paid 45,000 dollars for a truck not a car. It was the third truck I bought from them in 5 years I think they should have taken better care of me. On one of the times back the salesman I used offered to give me his personal truck which was nice of him but I didn't want to take his truck.

It like if you get bad food at a restaurant and get sick and puke are you going to go back? I won't and that it where I am at with ford. We have two in the home now my wife has her 2011 focus and her 2012 f150 ecoboost. I've driven both and don't really care for the focus but it gets good mpg. The truck is decent but I'll take my 2010 gmc Serria over it anyday.

Yes the Ford you had sounds like out had the typical issues. What your complaining about more is the dealerships way of handling vs. Ford. Sounds like you should have went to another dealer if they have you problems everytime. I guess you would go back to the same restaurant you got sick at...

The wife and I really liked the pictures we saw of it, but when we saw one in person it didn't do much for either of us. It seemed to have too tall of a stance and didn't look as sleek as we had hoped. Stretch it and lower it a bit and they would have something.

I pick up on Friday, I'm trading in the 2012 Titanium Focus for this. I test drove it today, it drove nice and I like the extra room over the Focus. I really liked my Focus, but I need more back seat room that the Focus could offer. I can't seeing me not like anything about it, however, that may change after I get a few miles on it

Don't get me wrong its a good looking car, and that 47mpg hybrid is the best looking hybrid on the market.

Enjoy the new ride

My wifes lease is up on her '11 Fusion next month, and we'll be looking at these as well. I'm not a car guy, but have to admit......I'm kinda excited to take the 13's for a test drive.

I like the car. I'm curious if the 47mpg of the hybrid is accurate in the real world. I should find out soon enough, my brother ordered one a few weeks ago.

Hancho, whats the advantage of ordering one, and waiting 6 months? Versus just going to the lot and picking one up today without the wait? I've never ordered a car before, but I'm assuming its because your able to pick your features.

this, plus color, ect. If you do plan on getting a ford go see Dana Waxler (trailrail302 on here) at Suburban Ford in Waterford...it's worth the drive

We're definitely going with Ford again for another lease. Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep him in mind next month. I'll make the drive if the savings are there.
