Yes I heard that too but it is because like 80-90% of the apple crop died this year. I heard that from bigbchevy this weekend, before I sound all smart on my own.

It is because you wanted winter to hang on so bad. It came back and froze all the apple blossoms. You dick!

Quality Dairy is at $7.99 a gallon.

Last season frost killed a ton of apples so the price is up.

Good thing I am not near QD now, because I love their cider and would probably still buy a couple gallons.

Damn, I guess that means the local apple orchards won't bring free cider and doughnuts this year, hope they at least bring doughnuts

Suits me just fine, I don't have a ton of apples laying all over the yard to pick up. Any that are viable on the tree are free for the taking!

Or what really happened. The early warm weather we had in the spring caused the apple blossoms to bloom early. We then got a few days of freezing weather which killed those blossoms destroying almost 90% of the apple crop in Michigan.

Last season doesn't have much to do with this years apple product prices.

That kinda makes it really hard for me to make hard cider this year. When I make it I usually make 15 gallons at a time. May only be a couple gallons this year.

LIES!!!!! THERE IS NO CIDER SHORTAGE. MY WORK DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA TO SHIP ME 400 GALLONS A WEEK AT 9.99 A GALLON. JUST WHAT WE NEED. Yeah not really. But in all seriousness apples are hella expensive. Bulk apples are ranging from 1.79 lb to 3.49 lb for Honeycrisp apples and 3lb bags are right around 3.49 and they have said the chance of us getting any 5lb bags would be rare if we got them in
