Unhappy over my head

hey guys i need some help! trying to build a rig for my brother in law and i am in over my head with the 4 link. what we have is a 2000 tj with a 6.0 married to a 350 turbo trans with a 205 t case. my problem is getting the axles in. we put a dana 60 rear with a 44 front. we are useing a bds 6 inch long travel kit and a blue torch fab truss kit to attach the links but i have never done a 4 link ...... i have done 2 yj 's with the 60 /44 combo and they work great! anyone that could lend a hand would be great and if you dont live to far from laporte indiana and could come and give a hand food and drinks will be provided we just need to finish the suspension i can do the rest . the motor ,trans and t case are in and the lower links are in the rear and front upper links are where i am running into trouble ... thanks in advance for any help

Are you trying to install a kit that was designed for the stock jeep? IE Drivers drop front axle and tcase. By putting a custom axle and tcase in it, its going to take some fab work. I would recommend returning the lift and taking it to someone who knows how to build suspensions.

Look at benny87's build thread. He has a tj with a 4 link and LS motor. You have some serious work to do to get a 4 link up front.

I think Benny's is a little more custom than the op is wanting to do.

Take a look at this thread starting at post 8:

Is this what you are trying to accomplish?

what exactly is getting in the way of the upper arms?

just do radius arms with a trackbar, that'd probably be the easiest way. its not going to react like a true 4-link would but probably not a noticeable difference.

[QUOTE=Strangler;3155902]3-link and a panhard bar.

X2

Rather simple, Lots of adjust-ability for changing tire/height sizes later, stress over 3 links, strong, good travel and flex.

i did that on my XJ. drivers side was a hard mounted radius and on my passenger side was just single lower, that's it. flexed great on the trail. i think i have pictures at home
