Think positive, they told my dad that over 17 years ago. He's still going strong, just made major changes on how he goes outside. Tell your friend good luck.

My father in law is in the hospital, he's been there 14 days. He won't be coming home. Stage 4 colon cancer. Metastisized in his liver, intestines, kidneys, bones in his back, and in his spinal cord, soon to be in his brain. He has a tumor the size of a grapefruit in his colon, and has to have 4-5 bags of blood daily because the tumor tears like tissue paper, and he can't have bowel movements. You are lucky to have 5 years to enjoy your friends company, make the most of it.

My wife's still getting treatment for breast cancer.

My mother just had her thyroid removed.

My father passed away this year, cancer was amongst the many health issues he had.

It sucks. Bad.

It angers me greatly that with all the science and technology available today we have yet to find a cure for this disease. I'm sure that there is a cure for it out there somewhere. it's just a matter of figuring it out.

The problem is there isn't just one "Cancer"

They are all different, and I think there are currently over 200 different types of cancer out there. Every different type requires research and testing etc to try and combat it.

this is true. in basic terms cancer is uncontrolled cell growth. if they can figure that out then it's a start at least.

There is a basic cure for all cancers, problem is, government won't allow it. Morally wrong they say.

Stem cells are the best bet. The cancers that they can remove bad cells from, repair bad DNA string, grow new cells, implant, and cure cancer. It works. The problem is, it's basically cloning human DNA, and that's the moral quandry. There are other cures that work for many kinds of cancers, so why mess with the basic building blocks of the planet?

Chemo and radiation work in 70+% of cancer types, so the FDA won't let other proven methods be used, because it's considered "playing god" in the eyes of the masses, no matter how many lives it saves.

Fu ck the FDA!
