Just heard it tonight. NPR was covering the fact that Obama didn't even advertise in Michigan because he thought it was in the bag, and that Romney just reallocated his ads to other states because he thinks Michigan is lost.

Then I heard them introduce Jenny Granholm at the DNC tonight as recently stepped down governor from Michigan, a strong democrat state.

Agreed. It's "top down" either way. It's just a matter of either the greedy power-hungry policians steering the way or the greedy power-hungry mega-bussinesses.

I'm voting for Ted Nugent as a write-in president and Clint Eastwood as write-in VP.

I think there is a Huge difference. It's all Top down like amc suggested but at least it appears Romney won't be putting us further into debt and he actually has experience bringing companies in trouble back to profitable.

At the least, he's the worse of two evils. I think he's a much better option the Obama.

yeah i work for nexteer automotive and my union uaw union is pushing for obama. i think my union is very corrupt. as i am a independent /conservative. I am voting for romney and ryan. if we have another 4 years of obama in office america isnt going to be america. there was a time when

were for the people and was a good party but, they are over runned by progressive communists. bill clinton is the biggest liar i ever heard. only reason he was declared a good president is because

in office dragged him to the table and made him sign the bills he didnt want to pass. first time around i voted for obama this time around he is going to be fired and hire romney. where i truely believe romney is going to turn this economy around. especially if he takes full advantage of energy gas,oil,coal,green energy etc. that would create alot of jobs possible over 12million. and most of all the jobs romney is going to create are going to be wages of $18-$35 an hour job not no lower minimum wage $7.40.

So, what would you do to get Romney the Michigan electoral votes since popular vote doesn't elect presidents and the UAW (and likely other unions like the teachers) are pushing for Obama?

honestly if i could do anything for romney to get the electoral votes i would do it. the uaw and other union are all corrupt and bought by government/ obama. they like to push that if obama didnt give us a bail out we would be gone. which i know for a fact it is a lie, if we never got a bail out we would go through a bankrupt policy and reconstruct a budget. GM needing bail out this all happen because we have management not going by budget over spending. pretty much spending money that wasnt there. there is a story about delphi in the news about how the treassure gave money to the unions that was the pentions of non union delphi employees. over 20,000 employees screwd out of a pention. i wish i wasnt union because union dont do anything other protect the lazy workers atleast at nexteer. the job i am doing at nexteer use to be paid 24.00 an hour about 8 years ago it is down to 12.00 an hour. i am hired in as nexteer and started out at 12.00 an hour and only hope to see 24.00 an hour someday.

I'm not a party person, I try and vote for the lesser of two evils when at the poles. I don't see Romney generating jobs that pay $18-35 hr. You don't get rich running a business by paying your employees that much and I'm sure all his friends would not like him if he makes jobs paying that much. And the true aganda of the Republican party for 2013 and beyond is to rid the US of ALL UNIONS. I'm not a union guy either, they had their day. Ending the unions may not be a bad thing, but the way they have to do it is wrong, break contracts..... a contract is a contract and it's a piss poor way to break a union by just having the government say "you are no longer protected by the contract we signed together or the union that negotiated it for you". But like I said no unions may not be a bad thing as long as wages and work load are kept in balance along with hiring and firing of employees.
Now Obama, not much better or worse. I think he has been wrongly blamed for some and only some of the bad spending/bailouts, a lot of the bailout bills were republican generated as far as his performance for creating jobs..... still waiting..... still waiting. Hmmm, think he blew his wad already and we have what we are going to get from him as far as new jobs go. I think if the politicians have their way, the only jobs for my kids when they get older will be McDs n Walmart, everything else will be over seas or at least south of the boarder, I'll have to move to Texas so I can get a General Motors job in Mexico. Either way it will be a tight race between the two big parties for the Pres. I cant wait for the elections to be over so we can get on with our lives and see what happens over the next 4 years

I feel Unions are one of the root causes of our current economic problems. Yes, I think Unions can do good in theory but in practice, they tend to generate self entitled inefficient drones and keep the business owner from making profitable changes unless the owner kisses the Union's ass.

In summary: I feel Michigan is one of the largest offenders of the "self entitlement" mentality.

American Crossroads and a couple of other large Republican 527s have pulled their Romney advertising out of Michigan and Romney's own campaign has cut back big on spending in Michigan. It sounds like even the GOP thinks Michigan will be voting for Obama again in November.

I would find it very difficult to put my vote behind a party that thought it necassary to tell lies to get votes.

Besides Bush was not as bad as the media made him out to be. We now have to look at Obama's record and see what he has and has not done in the last 4 years and NOT blame Bush for his Obama's policies.

This country is full of people that base what they think they should be making on what things cost, how long they have been in a job, and other personal needs. That's not how it should work...

Just because your cell phone bill is $200/month, you want a $400,000 house, and want a $50,000 SUV doesn't make your job of putting the screw in the hole worth $30/hr.

Employment and wages should be based off of ability, education of the job, and merit.

Most people I know that fit those categories are properly compensated and are not generally bitching about their pay rates...
