Default Filming a tornado movie in auburn hills?

across the street from my office they have school buses flipped upside down, giant ass wind machines, rain machines, and real trees they brought in that are laying on their sides with the roots all over. They're wrapping sheet metal and other things around the trees.

I can't find anything on google about this. Anybody know what movie?

Aren't they filming Twister 2 in Michigan? Seems like I heard that recently.

They also have another set on Oakland Universitys campus in one of the parking lots. They built a "used car lot" there.

I have the link on FB somewhere, I will dig it up really quick.

Here it is: http://rochester.patch.com/articles/...ster-next-week

It doesnt have a name yet.

My source says Twister 2, so whatever that is worth, probably nothing.

LOL

It's funny you say that, they just brought in what looks to be identical to the storm chaser's little car. It was on a flatbed and was being escorted by auburn hills police!

It's not "Twister 2". The movie has gone through a few different names but I think the last one that they settled on was "Category 6". My office helped work on site locations for the filming and they are supposed to be doing filming in the area for another few weeks.

According to Oakland Tech News

"Informally it has been called "the tornado movie" by locals who are working as part of the film crew, but its formal name is actually "Black Sky."

Holy crap. Must be high budget with a cast like that.

Glad to see we have so quickly gone from a few big name movies to the land of straight to DVD productions.

Michigan...Hollywood of the Midwest.

I would have thought with the layout of the destruction, the movie would be about steveo's flatulence. I heard it was called "Death Spray"?

Kelly,
Maybe you can get a plug by offering a standby generator for that part in the movie when the power goes out.

LOL, you actually should offer the use of a trailer mounted genset with your name all over it.

I wondered what they were doing over there with that big crane. ALso, about 3 or 4 weeks ago, I was at Fieldstone and they had 2 wind machines over in the parking lot of Molex. At the time it looked like a stage was being built but it makes since that it was a lighting rig.

LOL, interesting.
