Is the insulation nailed to your exterior perlins? Did you put it up before you ran your interior perlins? I'll be insulating mine soon and have been looking at doing it this way. Nice Barn

The insulation was slit to slide up inside the header than stapled to top of the header. The sides were stapled to the poles all the way down. My perlins are ran between my poles, rather than the normal over the poles. Gives me another 3" and feels more stable. So its a tight fit for insulation between the perlins.
Hope i didnt confuse ya too bad..

Is the heating water going to be on the inside or the outside? I don't the the 3' of 1" tube will have enough surface area to transfer heat as fast as a sink will run, if the sink water is in the outside it will give you a bit more storage for the hot water.

Planning on boiler water to be on thd outside and the sink supply line to be on the inside..
Basically a side arm heat exchanger similar to whats on a hot water heater..right?

Very nice I wanted heated floors in my house, but I went with forced air heat. I had already been approved for furnace when I lost my job. I already had a pole barn wish it had heated floors to. But I now have a outdoor boiler hooked to both it's great. I would like hot water for my sink in pole barn. But no job again.
Funny thing I tried to redo my loan ( I knew I was going to loss my job) . Bank appraiser said my pole barn could be built for 8000 dollars. It's 32x40x10. 2 9x12 doors and wired insulated and white metal ceiling. And heated. It cost 11000 for the shell and cement ,doors +labor when built in 99.
I just love banks.they should know they approved the loan for it.

Well got lots more done on the shed tonight. Got about 98% of all the insulation done, finished mounting all my outlet boxes, my service panel, wrapped up the rest of the framing inside, and started pullin wires. Hopefully Saturday if all goes well the ceiling will be up and most of the walls.
Also had 12 yards of dolomite dropped off for my approach. Decided against cement, id be driving over one corner of the pad every day, dont want to break it off. Plus id like to try to save a little cash to put toward the boiler.

Getting closer day by day..one day soon the predator will be parked in.its own shed.

Quick update on this weeks progress.
Got barn back filled with dirt. Built approach with some 20 yards of dolomite. Trenched yard all up for power and pex. Got 1/0 power lines buried and tied the barn and house together. Finished up lighting and outlets inside. Started hanging sheets. Finished hanging steel ceiling and blew in 8+"of insulation in the attic.

Super bright.. With the white ceiling. Cant wait to paint walls gloss white. Should be like a tanning Boothe.

Well finally got a little sheeting done the last few nights. Was starting to wonder if i had ran out of time.
hope to finish sheeting and painting this weekend, so i should be moving in, in a week or so. Getting giddy like a school girl..

Going to rig up a little wood stove for the winter until the Boiler is complete.

Hoping mid January to have a lil, barn completion party.
