it looks like when he wants to go fast it just does wheelies.

Its not too hard to find vids of me racing, there was one already posted in this thread. I had a limited schedule of events this year due to work, but collected plenty of hardware this season as well. I am guessing I did as much or more racing this year than most posting in this thread?

What times are you running? I used to sand drag at Bobs Family Raceway with a rear engine VW sand rail. My best time was 5.1 seconds.

4.9's at 64-66mph this past season. I have good mph, but the 60 foot area is terriable. I am working on that a little this winter as well as shaving a few lbs and looking for a few more hp out of the motor. I am hoping to be in the mid 4.8's next season and still be able to drive it on the street as much as I like to.

While the track at twisted looks promising it takes more then sand to make a good track.Like spectators, and racers.I have been to several races at twisted of other types where there where very few spectators.

What a bunch of narrow minded fucks.I enjoy rock crawling, and sand drag racing.Have any of you losers talking shit ever tried it? Or do you just talk shit and suck dick?
I have drag raced cars for over twenty years and was the first person in michigan to run a snowmobile down a ashpalt drag strip.I enjoy racing cars, bikes, and snowmobiles but sand racing is my favorite form of drag racing.
I cant believe how stupid you people appear. You look at a couple vids of a jeep doing something and think you know it all.
Can you also tell me what material bens cage is made from, and how it is sleeved etc,by looking at a video.
If you ever saw bens jeep go down a smooth, flat track like it was made to do you would have nothing to say, except dam.The thing rocks, period. Have you bothered to look at the other years at schuss where he rocketed to the top?
Have you bothered to watch vids on the strip where it is racing as desighned? Trust me it's much less eventfull then a wheelie bar braking,or trying to control 2000 hp on 4 ' of ice crystals.
And to all who think they could drive up schuss mt I invite you to try in just a few months.
Just keep in mind that you better bring a serious piece if you plan on outdoing bens jeep.
If you are scared to go fast, fine. Stay on the rocks, keep rolling over, dumping fluids and looking like imbred fucks to the rest of the world. Or enjoy your imbred dumb fukc crawling and let others enjoy their imbred dumb fukc sand racing.
What a bunch of narrow minded fucking idiots.
I for one am glad I only know a few of the people on this site because most of you sound like a true bunch of assholes who's shit dont stink. It really makes it hard to stop and help a broke down wheeler when it could be one of you assholes.

Re-read the posts big guy, no one said it was the fastest in the nation, I simply stated the truth, it is one of the fastest. Prove the world wrong on that one.

the problem with guys like you is you throw out all kinds of claims, all kinds of internet knowledge, but you fall short of facts and real life experience. Stay to the internet and leave the wheeling to people who are actually involved.

He does not want to racing anything. He does not have anything that would compete. That is why he is on here bashing ben's jeep. It is a different sport that what he likes, so he is going to pick at the competitors and try to get a rise out of people. If I am wrong, I can fuel up the Jeep right now and give him my address and we can get down today in the rain.

I notice that he pops up in threads like this to add his .02, and he has a following of people that go along with it. Most of them are just like him, basic offroaders that are probably jealous of something they do not own, or could not own. Nothig wrong with that at all, that is part of the fun of sites like this

It takes all kinds of people I guess.I find it fun to use this site to learn from others and help people who need help,or advice.I dont feel the need to be negative or bash other peoples rides or ideas.I guess if bashing others makes you feel better, thats what you got to do. Im glad I am open minded about things. You cant learn anything if you are too busy knowing it all.

well here is the thing when you build something, not everyone is going to like your work. I think his jeep sucks, it doesn't look like it handles well, nor does he look like he can drive...my proof is the videos posted in this very thread. However I do think his drivetrain is badass. That is the only impressive thing about that jeep. And you are right, I don't drag race, but I could afford to if I wanted to do so. As far as me personally I don't get all pissy when people don't like something I build, I call that reality. I might suggest if you want to defend your buddy that you would post a video of him doing a good run instead of him flying out out control. That POS jeep of his has a shit ton of power and from the looks of it, he can't drive it...could I? I don't know, but I do know I'm not the one that said I could...

Sand drags start at 16.20

Not trying to keep the war going, but I think most of what you see are the crossed up crazy runs that make it a crowd pleaser. Nothing real exciting about the drag stuff (unless you are into it like I am) for the casual spectator. for me it has nothing to do with what someone can afford, i just want to make the point that in this particular sport, that is not a POS, and the driver has much skill. I am pretty sure he does the other events just to get crazy with it, and loves the excitement and exposure.

And just to clear the air, I do not "know" Ben. I have met him a couple of times and he was nice enough to me, and I dont think he deserves the disrespect that he is being shown here, that is the extent of it.
