Durango steering box surprise
I've got my YJ down to the frame on a rebuild so I thought I would upgrade the steering too. Got a rebuilt box from the local parts store. Everything went well on the install. Today I went to roll the chassis outside to bring my new air compressor in. I turned the input right and the wheels went left! Thought I was loosing my mind. Checked everything over, still turns like a forklift. Got on the web. Turns out an Astro van box is externally identical but opposite rotation. Parts store or the rebuilder must have gave me the wrong one. Never thought to check rotation before the install. Should be a fun discussion at the parts store Monday!

It pays to shop local! Parts store is swapping it out for the right one and cut me a deal on a new pitman arm puller to boot! Thanks Autovalue in Sparta! (I've bought everything for the last few projects too)
