Help figure out block I'd
SBC 350 ci.
Casting # 3970010 Build # Fo71ockl ( the o are letters) F0710ckl ( the 0 are numbers) I don't know how to read them. Build number or I think that is what it is. # fo71ockl ( again the o's are letters) F0710ckl ( the 0 are numbers) And then the block vin number. 13131062 So far I found that the casting # shows 69-79 302/350 car truck 2+4 bolt most common. I would love to know what year,car/truck my motor was is. It will make getting parts easier. Of course it's now in an 1984 cj7,I still like watching the part store guys give the look when I ask for parts. |

you don't need to know what it came in. All 350 cid small block chevy parts are interchangeable between 67-86. hell you can interchange some things between displacements no matter the year. you can put 400 heads on a 350 block, you can run a 400 crank in a 350 block. you can run 98 cylinder heads on a 67 block. thats the marvel of the SBC.

f=flint engine plant 07=July 10=tenth day of the month ckl=1973 350 or a 1975 262 this all came off the nasty z28 website the 3970010 comes up as a 69-79 185hp low power to 370hp high power 350 car truck or vette so pick your model of 1973 chevy and add what ever options you want to tell them and you will be good i have to do this also whit the same bone heads you get to deal with and it works well
