unsecured loans, good idea or not?
I need to fix this leaky roof before winter. It was a real pain in the ass changing all the buckets when they got full last year. I don’t have much insulation in the roof so when it does snow it melts off there pretty quick and it comes through the ceiling. I tried to fix it last year with the seal all shit, but that shit did not work like it said it would. I still trying to sue that company but that’s another story. Anywho I’m thinking about getting a loan from these guys http://www.westernsky.com They say I don’t need good credit, and that’s good because I don’t have good credit. I’ve maxed out every card I have and its all I can do to keep the lights on. But for the $10,000 I can get from them I can fix my roof, payoff one card and have about $500 to go towards the buggy project. But I'm not sure if I can trust this westernsky place...has anyone used them before?

Not a good idea. Unsecured loans can balloon (check the fine print) and paying an interest rate of over 25% is loansharking territory. This place is a 90%APR, meaning you pay them $9,000 per year in interest for 7 years. Grand total repaymend for your 10 grand is just over $63,000.
Dude, suck it up for one more year, put that 700 per month aside for your roof and pay for it in 1 year, not 7. It will suck now, but in two years youll be happy you did! |

You have not fixed that yet?
How many months has it been? Have you talked to your lender at all in consideration of some form of a home equity loan? And seriously. "I'm doing my best just to keep the lights on". But hey lets start a build(toy) which will end up costing 5-8k while I swap out buckets every time it rains. Start eating mac&hotdogs until you can get your roof fixed man. Wth would you take out a loan for your roof when you are paying cash for a toy? It is a cool build and all mind you. But, wow man I thought you had more forethought then that. A apr of 300%? Wow I'm in the wrong business. I would never sleep at night screwing over people in need like that though. Now stupid people such as yourself who had the means but were just to lazy to use them is a different story. |

I'm not done laying some sense into you just yet.
Find out what you Need to get the material's to fix your roof. Not to have some one else do it. Then invite idk 10 buddies over feed them and put them to work. I don't see where you could end up with 8k in material cost alone. I could be wrong but seriously doubt your going to need 8k. |
