Gotta fix this one up nice..for a sale.
not enough $$$to just swap one now. Hoping i can sell this one when i get the motor in and running, or before. The top end will be all freshened up.

Well went and got a newer non tilt steering column from FordFlareside yesterday...but nee bearings in,swapped the wheel over, and put it in tonight. Like the solid steering wheel feel...lots better than the floppy tilt..
Crappy pic

Also taking kyle m's advise and sleeving my frame and moving my box 3" forward and 2" up to add a little more clearance for my pitman arm. Now im on the hunt for a factory jeep pitman arm, the drop one isnt necessary.

Well got box mounted and about 75% installed tonight. Looks like itll work NICE...
Definitely going to need a stock Pitman arm or waggy Pitman arm.

Tucked up nicely into the frame, and tight behind the bumper.

The attachment tubes/sleeves hang down 1.25" from the frame. Going to add a 1/4" plate gusset between the two kind of fish plating them to the frame.

Had to sleeve my steering shaft with a 12" peice of 1" dom. The shaft was 4.5" too short.

In this picture u can see y im going to need a stock pitman arm. Tie rod may make contact with a drop Pitman...dont want that.

Also picked up my intake and headers from the neighbor...which he so kindly blasted for me...tonight i baked the intake with some high temp engine enamel.

Hope to get box wrapped up this weekend 100%, and finish up some wiring inside.

Box is now 100% installed ready to rock..
Front view, the box is almost completely covered by the bumper.

Passenger side view under the rig

Drivers side view of box mount, all boxed in and frame is sleeved with 1/4 wall...looks tougher than stock...

Also got the tie rod completed, need some 3/4x3" gr8 bolts and lock nuts. I drilled and tapped the knuckles for 3/4 bolt so they will be lock nutted and jamb nutted on..

Debating on adding a box brace??? With all the bolts holding my box on sleeved through the frame then boxed in...is it necessary? What r u thoughts?

I think it looks fine, but a brace won't hurt. You still have one laying around?

Mines mounted on the frame just line yours without a brace. From what I have seen, braces are mostly a jeep thing. Must be a bad factory set up?

You can have the picker back whenever you need it.
