Well wheeled the rig a little today, had no big issues with suspension. Need a winch for sucking down the suspension, but the main one works for now.
Found the weak link..diff cover and tie rod, definitely not up to par for ramming around in the woods or rocks. Slammed into a stump today, bent the tie rod, and slammed it onto the diff cover...which put a small hole in the cover. The bent tie rod brought back my death wabble. Easy fix.
The real issues i had were the charging/battery situation. Stupid optima, on charger again all night last night..wouldn't start the jeep today. Low voltage to my Taurus fan burned it up. So new plan is to buy a great big..deep cycle battery for a trolling motor, and make it fit in the jeep.
Reminder today also...why every time i go wheeling i pull my top off. Got in a little pinch in a little hole, and a tree decided to make a small sunroof for me.

Steering sux unless i have the front end sucked down with the winch.

Here is a little pic of the diff cover hole. Only leaked a little. Hole is about 3/4" tall and 2" wide..let a little fluid out, but hole is right next to the fill plug.

But all in all, had a blast and super happy with suspension. Works better than i expected.

Sorry guys been a little busy.
Last weekend, was the best wheeling trip ive ever been on. Got invited to join jnyquest, grassman, and green ranger down to the badlands. Wayy to much fun to be legal.
Anyway my day 1 was a bust. Blew a air shock through the hood at the quarry. Made me laugh so hard ibhad tears in my eyes. Someone has pics of this..i don't.
Then directly following the shock tab weld fix, i broke and upper link axle end heim coming out of the creek.
So..ruffstuff next day aired me 4 new heims to badlands campground..so it didn't ruin the whole weekend, and so i could really try out the 4 link.

Day two i rode shotgun in kyles ranger. Which is a very capable rig. Does anything you want it to. Goes wherever you point the tires. We drove mission impossible most of the day.

Day three we took it easy wheeled a bit on the badlands then headed for home. Jeep did lots better with new links and shorter limit strap. Thanks Greg. Had a rock meet my oil pan, no leaks. Skid soon to come. Bent lip on my diff cover, fixed with a hammer until i get a BTF DIY cover. Wrinkled a rear drivers leaf spring. New one on the way. Thats about it, until drummond island next week. Now home for the minor fixes. Pictures to follow.

Well...got some Durango springs today kept the mains and integrated the xj springs into the Durango ones. Lifted the rear and stretched it 3". Going to recess the front fixed spring hanger into the frame to lose some lift. Seems like these will work better than the xjs. Excited to see how well they work.
Shortened my limit straps, and dropped oil pan. Definitely need a new one, but the pickup us perfect.
Here is a rear view of the axle mived back 3" with the durango springs.

Here is the smashed oil pan, still held oil..

New wheelbase is 110"..think ill leave it there for a while.
