Glad it's working out for ya that 6.0 swap is getting dialed in for people.

Well sorry for copying. .haha

Well took the jeep out to a buddies pvt land yesterday, tried my darnedest to twist the exhaust pipe drive shaft...no luck.
Jeep worked awesome, very happy with it. Not sure I want to change much, it climbs great, goes great, and side hills pretty good.
Links are still holding up, hit a 4+ feet deep undercut hole with the drivers and passenger sides and it just stopped the jeep tried to endo it.

Definitely need hydro though. .or new steering box...its still leaking a quart of fluid every few hrs of wheeling. ..annndd the box has a weird clunk in it. .

All the shat I rammed into last night, all I had for damage is a bent front bumper. .?? The last 2"...i dont understand what coulda done it?

Broke my flag too. Nothing catastrophic though. .
But it was all dirt, n baby rocks.

Winter plans have changed!

I wanna start by painting the Jeep burgundy..haha! JK

Wheew better blow the dust of this thread!
Since the last post ive been so dang busy I can't see straight! On everything BUT my damn jeep!
Ne way nuff small talk.
I have finally ripped my steering box out and all associated parts BUT the pump.
Mounted a charlynn orbital 125cc I believe. And got my ram mounted! I love it! Steering is a lil too responsive at about 2 turns lock to lock! Yikes! Its a mailbox slayer!
Mounted the orbital right against the firewall/tub of the jeep at the end of the steering column. ..like dis!

Nice fit and feels plenty tough.
Got the cylinder mounted as well. Looks like this.

I had to tear the cylinder apart and rotate the connection closest to the rod 90 degrees to prevent it smashing into my frame.
Sold all this stuff

To buy lines and enough ruffstuff heims to do links on the rear.
Using JK front springs. .or maybe rears? Not totally decided yet.

Got some more DOM to do more cage work.
Still need some more coin to get the 7075 aluminum lowers. ..sick of bending the dom ones already!

Thats all for a quick n dirty update!
:)

Finally get some time to bump this biotch to the top. ;)
Most recent update.
I have gotten all of the heims I need to 4 link the rear axle, plus a few spares. .just in case. I went with 7/8" heims....figured if Dale yeah! Can run em..I oughta be plenty fine.. ;)
Got to try out the full hydro at rocks and valleys new years weekend.
Works awesome! Never had an issue.
Because it worked so well, I found another problem.
The dana 60 stub shafts are not strong enough. .lol broke both stubs snow wheeling.

This drive slug is broken, the splines twisted and cracked inside the slug.

If u look close you can see the separation about halfway down the splines.

All of this catastrophe bent the slug cover keeper's, as well as ruined the snap ring on the driver slug...yuk.

So......today I ordered me some chromoly 35 spline outers, and some full circle snap rings. To hopefully prevent u joint failure. And hold together a little better.
This week, hopefully I will get me some new parts to fix the drive slugs, and update them to 35 spliners.

Excited to see how well this combo holds up.
;)

Winters plans are to rebuild transmission, link the rear, and mount my seats to the cage..Instead of the factory mounts.

Well swung thru RSP today and swapped my 30 spline slugs for 35s. Awesome! Getting excited.
The shaft support bearings showed up today...still waiting for the shafts...
This week I should see them..:)
Here is the new slug in a factory bearing so u can see the spline vs shaft hole difference. ..seems to be about 1/8"..

Also have someone on the hunt for a rebuilt kit for my orbital to stop the little leak it has.
Yaay!

Post up some link numbers before you weld it home. Springs in the 145lb/in range are a good start

Will do for shizzle! Thanks for the help Feva!
Excited to get it done!
The engineer from COAN racing called and left another message asking about when I'm sending my broken chromoly th350 input shaft and drum are coming to him.
I let him know it'll be after wheeling season here. He said he will patiently be waiting for it. :)

@feva4u
Does it change the distance between the springs change the rate you need?
Was planning on putting mine just inside the frame rail. So about 34" c-c.
Instead of like a tj they are right under the frame, I figured if I could get it to work then I can compress further without the coils binding, AND I can put longer coils in..cause in my noggin' longer coils means softer smoother ride? (obviously based on the springs.)

Rate is the rate, it just changes the oal of the springs to sit at ride height as corner weight goes up and down
