Well xaust is done..yaay! Sounds gooder, and has a quite a bit more torque than it had with open headers. Idles nicer and doesn't stall when I let off the gas at high speeds.
Runs waaayyy cooler than the ol 360 chevy did. Throttle response is awesome. Cant wait to feel it on the trails.
After xhaust shop I went to scrap a long needed truck load of steel..n well I happened across this gem.
Looks like itll work mighty nice for a hydraulic ram mount with some cutting n drilling.
Piece of 1" steel bout 20" x 8"...

The ram he is using is the same ram as me. The open area between the mount is just over 1". So that fits nicely between the clevis mounts and doesn't allow for alot of slop.

I bounced mine into a rock bending the tie rod and breaking the clevis ears off, the mount didn't move.

Gotcha. I was thinking of the typical plate you see under a double ended ram. (which I just discovered I have zero pics of mine ) I stand corrected.

Here is Tab's.

Na planning on doing SE ram like Ramos. See if I can get that done this winter.

Still cannot believe how awesome it is to go out n fire the jeep up, it sets n idles, stays a descent temp of 170 ish at idle, good 40 psi oil pressure at idle. .
Can't wait to see how mucb fuel it doesn't use compared to the 360..hahaha. ot that it mattered, just curious.

Thanks for all the help so far guys. .been awesome.

Ram mount

You kinda see the skid here.....its 1/2" plate welded to the axle tube, ran under the ram/tierod then bent up at an angle.....i did bend it some but to be fair when it bent it was because i fell off a 4' ledge and landed with the entire weight of the truck on just that skid....it only bent minimally so i guess it works

Well since ya asked...lol
It was fun, but not as fun as loonie

Got to spend Friday all by myself bombing around. .had fun tried some shit I probably shouldn't have alone..but did anyway. And succeeded in some not in others.
Jeep worked great, love the wheelbase, Shorter stinger. .lol, new link setup, and absolutely love the 6.0. Had plenty of power, burned less than half the fuel I would've normally.
On Friday...I screwed around and twisted my rear driveshaft so bad it fell apart at the splines. .
Here is the start of the twist, I wheeled it till it really twisted up..lol

Had the guys in town fixer up for me for 55.00..woot! Back wheelin Friday too..

Will be building a new one out of 1/4 wall.

Ripped the heads off my steering box bolts burning from one side of the park to the other on Friday also..damn trees!..haha.
Fixed those with new grade 5s...lol napa didn't have ne grade 8s..wizzzzz
Also sheared the 5/8" heim bolt on my high steer Friday amd Saturday. .had spares fixed em all up and wheeled all day. Saturday 8ish to 7 pm
Full hydro should fix that. Damn trees again!!!

Bent my lower links on the first time out too..
So gunna do aluminum lowers, 2.25" seems good nuff eh?

Tried both these spots..alone in Friday. .almost had spot on right. Got a lil sketchy alone so stopped.

Pond trail was low. ..didn't have to hit any water to drive thru...bummer. .

Things I need to fix. .
Spring bushings in the rear
Trans cooler sucks
Hydro steering
New lower links out of aluminum.

All in all had tons of fun. .most of it alone on Friday, Saturday was all pretty simple stuff..had a small group come down, thats not into trying stuff out of their comfort zone. .
