From what I understand if you are competing you will get in free. Driver only though. Everybody needs to understand the park is not putting on the comp. They are simply the location. So all your get rich comments dont apply. They have no control on the cost of the comps either. The members of the pit trash crew are the ones putting on the comp. Bundy Hill is a great local park and a very reasonable price to play for the weekend. Just like any business they have costs also. I hate it when people start bashing on something they dont know. Were not little kids. Truth be told if you cant afford the park you are probably in the wrong hobby.

No I dont have any affiliation with the park. It is close to home and want it to survive though. That takes money so I am greatfull they are making money and will remain open. Just as I am with all the private owned parks.

all the other parks dont double dip for comps that all we are saying im in the middle of Rocks and bundy so gas is the same but if bundy double charged i would pick rocks and we are heading into a comp that really is a last min thing they wait a month before to even post any info on the comp and from what i have seen its all by the seat of their pants...... and im not bashin the park i enjoy wheelin out there they are good people but when it comes to comps they need to work on it

Thanks cvwindows for clearing the distinction between the park and the Pit Trash Crew.

Still wondering if its worth showing up on Saturday. I don't want to waste my time and fuel to find out no one has entered the open class and its a complete waste .

Will someone in charge of the competion (Pit Trash Crew) give some feedback to the open class......

1. Do you have any entries or commitments as of yet?

2. If only one rig shows up what happens?

3. What are the prizes for the open class? winches? Tow straps? axle parts? Air Tanks? Inner Air Locks? etc?

4. Are we truely only competeting for each others money cause the Pit Trash Crew are not putting any prize money on top of the entries?

I just like a clear understanding before I spend my money and time on things.

Thanks

I get that and was not trying to bash them...i planed on going sunday regardless....i was just trying to get it cleared up on what the charges were gonna be....because yes, it did make a difference whether i went to wheel or compete/wheel....it's not that i can't afford 55$, its that i can't justify it for various reasons.

I too want to see the park stay around and thrive and i go support them regularly....i just wanted all associated costs to be clear before i showed up the day of the event

88 Tonka toy and I will be there it looks like. 2000 xj might come to. We'll be in the cheap seats and wheeling though.

Just to let everyone know, Bundy Hill makes no profit off of this event, in fact we spend more on advertising, course preparation (labor, equipment, etc.) than we make. WE HAVE THIS EVENT FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO COMPETE! For those who are participating in the shootout, You will not have to pay the park entrance fee if you are competing. Because of the confusion and delays last year we are doing registration at the course out back. If you do not preregister you will have to pay the entrance fee at the front office BUT will get reimbursed when you sign up to compete. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding there may be on this subject.

I dont know any of those answers but usually in these type of comps you are competeing for each others money. Thats why they say 100% Pay back. As an organizer they would not typically put money in. Comps like koh and we rock they are actually making money so I would assume they would not be putting purse money up other than sponsor prizes and things like that.

Some of you have asked how many will run. . . . As for Sunday I know of at least 6+ guys in my area personally that are competing. That plus the at least 6 - 8 guys on this tread that have said they are running we should have a good competition Sunday!

I'm not sure about Saturday though.

For you guys that are getting all worked up about entry fees into the park and what not. You guys need to take into your thought process the fact of who the park owners are and aren't. They are not money hungry thief’s. They always have treated people very fair and been up front about the little they do charge.
If you read what bsbbutts1 said “The rest of the park will be open. Normal park fees will be in effect.” I think he is trying to say that the park is open to those that want to just wheel and not compete / watch the competition. Not that if you compete, you will be charged 2 times.

I understand the 100% Payback, althought the last comp of this nature i was in had the 100% pay back as well, they had a $1400 pay back for 1st place plus a $600 power tank with accessories, plus a nice trophey, shirt, and other stuff($2,200 value!). Second got roughly $400 plus a old school warn winch....they paid back to 4th??

It only cost a $100 to enter......it made it worth beating my rig with the possibilty of winning

I will glady put up the $200, i just want to know what is up for grabs before I committ

Most good comps entice competitors to try and compete for good prizes plus cash.....they know most will break and not finish and it will cost a lot to do so

If the organizer does not put up the money they get it donated or get equipment/prizes donated by vendors

Sorry to keep ramblin on
