Got a little more done today. 2" frame for bed is finished, but not welded to chassis yet. Flared it out near rthe cab to make room for a wide thin radiator.Thinkin about using a 90's F150 radiator.Had to many problems washing mud out of the thick 3 core I had in the B2 so Im thinking a wide 1 core will be easy to flush out to keep core clean and still cool plenty good. Will be mounted with bottem kicked back and dual fans blowing down thru it.
Getting a sheet of #9 expanded metal for the floor of the bed.

Toolbox will get mounted here behind the rad.

Finishing the gas tank mount in morn then starting the 2" body lift.

Gas tank and skid all finished. Finished welding up the lower bed frame and its now tacked to the chassis. Picked up a nice Foxbody radiator that fits perfect behind the cab.

Tank is tucked up nicely and is higher than it was in the Bronco2 so it should work great. 23 gallons FTW!

That is some pretty serious ground clearance under that tank. And 23 gallons, thats a lot of fuel!

Yeah I know alot of people questioned why I mounted it there and not up on top of the frame but I knew it would tuck up even better than it did in the B2 and I hardly ever hit the skid in the B2. Plus now I still have all the room I need for the radiator,my "trunk" and even a spare tire.
Hoping this truck will be a little better on the road than the B2 was.A full tank in the B2 with the 5.0,c4,3.73's and 35's would go over 350 miles. Now with only 3.50 gears Im hoping I could get better than that.

Foxbody rad and a Taurus fan....nice fit.

Wont make mounts until main hoop is made but this is how it should sit.

Gettin there! Got the front clip off and cut up the core support and rebuilt it stronger around the body mounts and raised the bottom so i can mount the winch behind the grill.
Added a 2" body lift, got my shock tabs, figured out my front bumper, did some rust repair under the old battery tray and got the rest of the tools I need to build bed and exo.

Will start bending tube on friday and hope to be finished by monday nite.

Ok good weekend. Got a lot done.

I had to cut out bottom of core support for winch clearance then I had to rebuild the area around the body mounts on the passenger side from battery acid damage. The whole corner under the battery tray was gone so I made some patch panels and rebuilt that area also.

I got the 2" bodylift finished and cab bolted back down and mounted up my rocksliders. Started bending tube and got the main hoop in and the fender tops.

Took some time to think the rest through and added my brace for the main hoop then started running tape.Spare tire will get mounted in this location.

I made hoops to go under the rear of the fenders for my tails and have trailer markers for the side of the frame rails.

All the manual brake crap is off and all the 2wd suspension is cut off, all clean frame up front.

Looks good! I want to do something like that with my fuel tank bit i want a smaller tank....~15 gallons.

A couple suggestions....on the cage i would x the part directly behind the cab clear to the frame for the most strength....also on the lights......on mine i only run one rear light per side that does stop/turn/tail.....it is nice having only one to package and it's less stuff to break lol

Yeah everytime I look at it I think of a better way to add more tubing. The tape was just a quicky idea which I can obviously change easy. Nothing set in stone yet and you are correct I do need to brace the main hoop better than shown.

I have a set of waterproof LED trailer lights that will do park, brake, turn functions. But Im adding the small side markers on the framerails because where the tails will be they wont be visible from the left or right sides and I really dont want to be harassed by law enforcement for anymore obvious illegal things since its goin to thow up a red flag goin down the road anyway.
