has anyone done a magnum360 swap into yj?
Hello all.
Well, last weekend I was in an accident and totaled my '96 dodge ram. It just so happens that I have a 1991 yj with a bad engine sitting in my driveway. The yj was going to get a 5.7 vortec, but with the recent incident, the manum swap might be easier(I have a complete doner, engine trans and tc). From what I've been researching, I haven't noticed very many swaps like this, and was wondering if there was a reason for that. Is it more hassle than its worth? Has anyone here done this before? Will it fit without major modifications(firewall, coresupport, etc) just lookin for some support, guidance, or advice. Thanks a bunch. Rob |

Just finished a 5.2L magnum swap. pretty straight forward and definitely worth it, no modifications needed to fire wall or core support. But don't be fooled its just as much work as a 5.7L vortec swap would be. I would say go for it and do some research on a 5.2L swap because there are tons of build threads with tons of information. I pretty much did the entire swap from a hand full of build threads and a few PM's here and there. you can check out my build thread to see how the motor will fit. Since the 5.9, and the 5.2 are pretty damn identical.
