H&r is made by New England firearms which is made by Remington. It's a pump holds 5 rounds plus one in the chamber.

I have the same shotty, it's an 870 clone with the barrel clocked differently so 870 barrels won't fit without mods.

I use it for a range toy now, about 1000 rounds thru it with no hiccups. Very reliable.

Actually made in China by Norinco for H&R. But don't hold that against it.

I also own a Pardner pump and would recommend this shot gun to anyone. It was my first gun I bought brand new when I was 18. I took it several times goose and duck hunting while learning the rope. Never once did I have an issue with it. I probably have close to if not over 1,000 shells through it.

Now it's obviously doesn't compete with any of the higher end guns. But, I would take it over the Remington express any day. They are both made in China and the Pardner is as close to an 870 knock off as you can get. The Pardner is close to half the price of the Express. Actually Marlin owns H&R and They where bought out by Remington so I wouldn't be surprised if the Pardner and 870 where manufactured by the same Chinese company.

Basically, for a cheap reliable 12 gauge pump I think the Pardner can't be beat.
