Default Looking for a specific jeep " savage pony"

I'm looking for a red cj7 that my grand father built over the years. In 2005 he passed away and I was not old enough at the time for it to be left to me. It's a red cj7 fiberglass body with the words getting gone on the tailgate and the words "savage pony" on the hood scoop. This has great sentimental value and I'm prepared to offer the current owner a very large amount of money. I hope for it to be returned to its rightful family any information anyone may have would be greatly appreciated. Also anyone who's been to the restaurant at silver lake and seen the picture of a jeep doing a wheelie, that is the jeep I'm looking for.

There is a sightings section on here that might point you in the right direction. Or possibly the rig build section, possible someone picked it up and started modding. Hope you find your jeep.

Sol Goode had it for a few years. He sold it to Spro, and he parted it out.

you may need the vin, but SOS has a form to fill out and send to lansing to find the current owner of a vehicle, if you can't find the form on line, go into the SOS and tell them your story, they might be able to find the vin under your grand father's name, and then you could apply for the current owner with that.

but also like WR said, post this on silverlakeforum.com too.

Actually no the family didn't sell it, it was left to a friend of his who was supposed to give it to me when I turned 18, even says so in the will. But he turned around and lost it in a poker game.

Sounds legit. Anywho if it was left to a friend, its his. Heres the thing, in a will you can give a two year old a car, there is no minimum age. If you grandpa really wanted you to have it he would have left it to you, or someone like your parents

I thought I've lost big in poker games

Didn't that poker game happen a while back in flint at a strip club? There was a thread about that on here.

That's the thing, he didn't trust my parents not to sell it on me, and the will stated that he was to hold the jeep for me until my 18th birthday, and if I didn't claim it then it was his to sell or do with as he pleases, well somewhere along the line that got screwed up, his/our lawyer tired to go after it, but the friend had passed away. And his daughters had no idea what happened or where it went. I understand the person who owns it now may not want to sell it, and has every right not to. I just wanna know where it is and if they do wanna sell it that they know a previous owners family wants it.
