Default Jay's Ford F-350

I decided to start a build thread for a truck that I had a hand in building. I want to start by saying this is not my truck even though I wish it was. It was a real good friend of mines truck that passed away in June of 2008. His name is Jason Amy and his dad Dave Amy now owns the truck.

Below is a couple pictures of what we started with. Its a 2000 Ford F-350 with a 7.3l Powerstroke in it. As you can see from the pictures or if you knew Jason, he took very good care of it and kept it VERY clean. It already had a 4" Rancho lift kit on it with 35" BFG All Terrains or Mud Terrains on it(switched them for summer and winter). He always talked about changing the lift and doing some other work to it and well his dad and a couple other friends have helped make it come true.

What Dave decided to do was install a 8" Full Traction ICG kit with King Shocks all the way around including the steering stabilizer. He decided on a 38" tall tire and went with a set of Toyo Open Country MT's on a set of 20" Moto Metal 959 wheels. The lift kit is currently installed and we are doing some other work to it so I will be adding pictures the next couple days to get this thread up to where we are currently at and what we will be doing to it.

A couple people from the board here have had a hand in the work that we have done to this so far. The person who has done a majority of the work so far has been CHFORD (Dustin Pitman). He is the one who did all the dis-assembly of it. sslugnuts (James Quazarano) is the other member on here who has also gave a helping hand on this.

Here is the picture of what the truck looked like before we started.

We sent the axles out to be sand blasted and painted before we reinstalled them or the lift kit. While everything was removed we had the framed cleaned up and painted mainly around the wheel wells. When winter rolls around the box and possibly the cab is going to come off so we can clean the entire frame and paint it.

Here are pics of the frame areas the was cleaned and painted. Didn't turn out too bad.

Here is the front link mount bolted up and ready to go. As you can see in the picture the rest of the frame is still nasty and needs to be cleaned and painted which is next winters project.

He didn't or wasn't. He always talked about changing the lift to something a little bit bigger than it was. His dad Dave and a couple people that work for him are doing it.

Here it is at its current state. We still have a lot of little things to do to it. Tonight we worked on installing a set of Amp Research power steps on it. They are mounted up but not wired yet.
